Lock-ups in YORKSHIRE.

Moving further north into my home county of Yorkshire, there are several existing lock-ups spread out throughout North, South, East and West Yorkshire. Of course the areas were known as the North, East and West Ridings of Yorkshire (Riding meaning 'third') prior to the debacle of the boundary changes of the 1970's. Just to add to the confusion the eastern area has now been re-named as The East Riding of Yorkshire.
I propose to list them in alphabetical order with reference to their present 'county' location.

It is interesting to note that none of these could be termed 'roundhouses', with the exception of Holme on Spalding Moor, and are generally referred to as lock-ups, with variations such as The Dungeon at Heptonstall;  Th'owd Towser at Holmfirth; Kidcote at Horbury;  Black Hole at Hunmanby; and Penny Cells at Snaith.
