Shanklin is situated on Sandown Bay with Culver Cliff projecting beyond its close neighbour SANDOWN which is connected by a long promenade and sandy beach.
Chalets line the beach also providing refreshments where the proprietor has a sense of humour to lighten the day.
IOW place names are represented on these signs - Ryde, Cowes, Freshwater and Tolland.

Sir Walter Alley
and here Vertic Alley leads Brian Close, Jimmy Hill and Robson Green!
The Sir Paul McHutney suite has Romeo & Julihut (Honeymoon Sweet) and Broken Hutted (Sweet Hut).
At Sandown there is a pier and a long sandy beach.
On the other side of Shanklin is the little seaside resort of VENTNOR
on the south coast.
Continuing westwards there is stunning scenery and steep cliffs with their chines along the coast to the island's most westerly point known as The Needles.
Isle of Wight Pearl, established in 1988, is worth a visit to their
showrooms at Brighstone.
